JSC “Saratovski radiopribornyi zavod” is one of the leading enterprises, producing modern surface surveillance and target designation systems for the Navy. It is an affiliate of JSC “Concern “Granit-Electron” since 2006, and as a part of it was incorporated by the Tactical Missiles Corporation in 2018.
The enterprise was founded on August 2, 1947 as the enterprise mailbox No 465. It produced complex radio technical equipment based on radio detection for benefit of the Navy.
Comprehensive program of ships and submarines building in the 1960s-1980s has turned the plant into one of the largest enterprises in its field of work. The enterprise started making products based on the documents composed by its own Design Bureau and engineering department since the 1970s.
Due to the conversion process the enterprise mastered the production of radar stations for river vessels and enlarged the volume of civil goods in the 1990s. Nevertheless the enterprise’s management was able to save the main production of special-purpose machinery.
More than 1200 sets of various radar stations and control systems for shipborne air-defense systems have been supplied to the customers by “Saratovski radiopribornyi zavod” during more than 70 years’ work.
As part of the military and technical cooperation the enterprise designed and exported radar stations, control and target designation systems.
Nowadays “Saratovski radiopribornyi zavod” specializes on designing, producing, testing, mechanical works, after-sales support and repairs of coastal radar stations and complex radio technical equipment for the Navy. Final products are supplied directly on the ships being constructed and to military units. The enterprise has the essential laboratory and testing facility, which ensures comprehensive checking of all products. Advanced projects are planned as part of the innovation program.
Main production types are:
- Coastal radar stations;
- Autonomous coastal radar complexes;
- Control systems for shipborne air-defense systems;
- Antenna and conning data systems’ instruments for new generation submarines.
